Two motorists were flown to a Charlotte hospital after a head-on collision yesterday evening. The Fort Mill police and fire departments responded and investigated the accident on Springfield Parkway near Merritt Road. No one was killed although both automobile operators were injured. There were no passengers.
The drivers of the cars were from Lancaster man and Indian Land, neither from Fort Mill. Both motor vehicles were sedans. Both required towing.
One suffered a head injury. The other man’s leg was injured. Neither injury looks to be fatal, although the injury did require helicopter rather than motor ambulance.
